A custom walnut, maple, and padauk mallet featuring 3D-printed Chivas and Mexico crest inlays set under clear epoxy.
Build Story
This custom mallet combines three hardwoods — walnut, maple, and padauk — for a rich color contrast that really pops. The padauk brings that deep reddish-orange tone that pairs perfectly with the darker walnut.
The Chivas and Mexico emblems were 3D-printed, carefully inlaid into the mallet head, and filled with clear epoxy resin for a smooth, durable finish. The whole piece was finished with tung oil to bring out the natural grain.
